How MFR and PRP work
Microneedling fractional radiofrequency combines controlled microneedling with radiofrequency energy to create micro-injuries in the abdominal skin. Those micro-injuries signal the skin’s wound-healing pathways and encourage new collagen and elastin production, which can address texture irregularities and contribute to firmer tissue without surgical incisions.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is concentrated from a small sample of your own blood and is applied alongside MFR to place growth factors at the treatment sites. On the abdomen the two modalities are used together to support tissue repair and remodeling, though individual biological response varies and outcomes are not guaranteed.
What to expect during treatment
Before treatment we review your medical history and the abdominal concerns you want to address. The in-clinic session includes the practitioner’s application of the MFR device and PRP to the treatment area; total appointment time is typically 90 MINUTES, covering consultation, treatment, and brief aftercare instructions.
During the procedure you may notice pressure, warmth, or mild discomfort; intensity is adjusted to your tolerance and goals. Discuss scheduling with our team: early-morning express appointments work well for commuters on US-1 and Le Jeune, while weekend slots accommodate visitors headed to the Biltmore, Venetian Pool, or CocoWalk.
Recovery and local considerations
Expect short-term redness, swelling, and possible pinpoint bleeding as the abdominal skin begins to heal; these are normal signs of the remodeling process. Avoid heavy exertion that pulls or stretches the treated tissue during the immediate recovery period, and follow the aftercare the clinician provides to support healing.
Miami’s tropical climate makes sun protection especially important after treatment—limit direct sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen on the abdomen once your provider clears you. Clients from Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, and nearby neighborhoods often coordinate treatment timing around shopping, university schedules, or weekend plans.
