Signature Full Body Reflexology Massage first 48 hours aftercare in Coral Gables Miami

The single most important rule after our 60-minute Signature Full Body Reflexology Massage is simple: hydrate and take it easy for the next 24 to 48 hours. This session includes lymphatic drainage, full-body trigger-point work, hand and foot reflexology, and cranial therapy, so your body may keep processing long after you leave our Coral Gables studio.

In Miami heat, hydration matters even more. Plan on water, comfortable shoes, and a lighter schedule. A lot of our regulars tell us they sleep better and feel “lighter” afterward, so we want you set up to keep that feeling instead of wiping it out with a hard workout, alcohol, or too much heat the same day.

Your 0–48 hour plan after reflexology + lymphatic drainage

Quick checklist: Water, rest, no alcohol, no sauna/hot tub, skip intense exercise, and wear breathable supportive shoes.

Right after your session (today)

  • Keep sipping water for the rest of the day. Because we work lymphatic pathways, you may notice increased urination. That’s common.
  • Eat something easy and grounding if you feel spacey. That “floaty” feeling can be wonderful, but you still have to drive.
  • Avoid heat stress. No sauna, no hot tub, and try not to do prolonged sun exposure. Miami humidity plus post-massage heat can leave you feeling wiped out.
  • Foot care starts now: keep feet clean and dry, and skip tight socks, heels, or anything that squeezes. Your feet were worked intentionally.

The next day (24 hours)

We generally recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours. Light movement is fine. A gentle walk is great if you feel good, but don’t turn your Miracle Mile shopping into a long walking route right after treatment. If you booked an appointment around lunch, keep your post-session plans simple and let your body settle.

Also skip alcohol for 24 to 48 hours. It dehydrates you and can make you feel more sore the next day. If your schedule has you commuting on US-1 or Le Jeune, early-morning express appointments tend to pair nicely with a calmer day afterward.

The first week: how to keep the “lighter” feeling going

A big part of our Signature Full Body Reflexology Massage is trigger-point work plus cranial therapy. That combo can leave you looser, but it can also bring up mild soreness or even an emotional release for a day or two. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong. It usually means your nervous system is unwinding.

For the next 3 to 7 days, think “support and recover.” Hydrate consistently, prioritize sleep, and keep movement gentle. If you’re someone who holds tension through your neck, jaw, low back, or feet, this is when your body often stacks the benefits. We hear it a lot: better sleep, more energy, and improved circulation after a few sessions.

If your feet were already angry: Standing at events, long commutes, and lots of walking in Miami can make feet swell. Keep shoes supportive, elevate your legs for 10 minutes when you can, and don’t trap heat in tight footwear.

Simple habits (and one “don’t”) that protect your results

After this 5-in-1 style session, most of the “aftercare” is really about not interrupting the reset we just created. Keep it simple for two days, then build back.

  • Water + electrolytes (optional): If you sweat a lot in Miami or you’re prone to cramps, a low-sugar electrolyte can help. Plain water is still the main thing.
  • Warm, not hot: A warm shower is fine. Skip very hot baths the day of if you tend to get lightheaded.
  • Breath work for 2 minutes: Slow nasal breathing helps your nervous system stay in “calm mode, ” especially after cranial work.
  • One big don’t: Don’t schedule a punishing workout “to sweat it out.” People often feel sore or drained the next day when they do.

If you’re driving back to Coconut Grove, South Miami, Pinecrest, West Miami, or Little Havana and you feel a little floaty, take a few minutes in your car before you go. Drink some water. Let your system catch up.

Normal reactions vs red flags (and when to reach out)

Normal in the first 48 hours can include mild soreness, tiredness, feeling extra relaxed, increased urination, or getting a little emotional. We do a lot in one hour, and your body responds.

Reach out to your therapist if you have sharp pain, prolonged swelling, or fever. If something feels off, don’t wait it out. Let us know the date and time of your service and what you’re feeling, and share any instructions we gave you before you left.

“I've been twice and both times received an exceptional quality of service and care. Jessie the therapist went above and beyond to ensure that I received the specific healing that I needed.”

A quick note on “radio skin tightening” vs reflexology

People sometimes find this page while searching for radio skin tightening, radio frequency for skin, or rf radio frequency skin tightening. That’s a different service category than reflexology. RF focuses on heat-based technology for skin, while reflexology is hands-on bodywork that works through pressure points, trigger points, lymphatic flow, and nervous system regulation.

Frequently Asked Questions

We generally recommend skipping strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours, and up to 48 hours if you feel sore, drained, or lightheaded. Gentle movement, like an easy walk and light stretching, is usually fine as long as it feels good.

A warm shower is fine after your session. We suggest avoiding very hot baths, saunas, and hot tubs the day of your massage, especially in Miami heat, since too much heat can leave you dehydrated or dizzy.

Yes. Feeling tired, extra relaxed, or a little emotional can happen for the first day or two. This massage includes cranial therapy and nervous-system calming work, so your body may keep unwinding after you leave.

We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 to 48 hours. Alcohol can dehydrate you and may make soreness or fatigue feel stronger the next day.

Reach out if you have sharp pain, prolonged swelling, or fever, or if something just feels off. When you message or call, share your appointment date/time, your symptoms, and any aftercare instructions we gave you before you left.

Radio skin tightening usually refers to radiofrequency (RF) treatments that use controlled heat to encourage firmer-looking skin. It’s a different service type than our Signature Full Body Reflexology Massage, which is hands-on bodywork using lymphatic drainage, trigger-point work, reflexology, and cranial therapy.

Radio frequency for skin typically means an RF device treatment that delivers gentle heat into deeper layers of the skin to support a tighter, smoother look over time. Reflexology massage does not use radiofrequency. It works through pressure points and manual techniques.

No. RF radio frequency skin tightening is a technology-based skin service, while reflexology massage is a manual therapy focused on the feet and body, often supporting relaxation, circulation, and tension relief.
